#7306 Peking Chinese rug

This late 19^th century Peking Chinese Oriental carpet measures 10’1” X 12’6”. It has a medium blue field with scattered flower sprigs and a flowering tree with a bird sitting in its branches serving as a center medallion.  The flowers are in coral, ivory, cocoa, and pale blue.  The interior minor border is in tobacco and has an overspill of flowers from the field. The next border is navy with three orbs in the corners and pairs of orbs splitting the border. There are also three legged urns sitting on stools.  The outer border is the same color as the field and is composed of horizontal and vertical flowers. this rug shows very little wear.  It is a very attractive and serene rug which would fit in any room.   The ends and sides are complete.  It is clean and ready to go.  The buyer pays for shipping with insurance $120.00
