#7263 Peking Chinese Rug This circa 1900 Peking Chinese rug measures 72 X 121. It has an ivory field containing various Buddhist iconographies including the beribboned umbrella, paint boxes, beribboned standing urns, and several floral forms, some flowering and some not. It has a central medallion consisting of a phoenix bird standing on one leg in front of clouds and trees with a floral motif. All is encompassed with four borders. Beginning with the pearl border on an indigo ground in ivory, then the next border is an ivory Greek key border on a blue ground. The next border has a meandering floral motif on an ivory border. And the outer border is a solid blue. This is essentially a perfect full pile rug. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays shipping with insurance $125.00. Contact: Robert Mosby 941-925-1025
