#7257 Kuba
This circa 1890 Kuba measures 4’1” X 5’2’. It has a
honey gold field with a latticework motif filled with eight pointed stars ala Dagestan. It
has two minor borders of crosses and rosettes and a major border of meandering lazy
S’s on a red ground. The ends and sides are original and complete except for a very
bad repair 18” up from the bottom. The rug is evenly low. It has a very pleasant
design and a calming motif. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of 35.00.
