#7131 Art Deco Chinese Carpet This circa 1930 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 9’0” X
11’7”. It is a very beautifully drawn Deco Chinese with a large vine and flower
design with bunches of grapes hanging down in deep purple, lavender, green, blue, red, and
rust. There are two very well drawn
butterflies flanking the central flower in purple, orange, green and blue. The field color is impossible to describe but it
is a combination of the Crayola colors fuchsia and magenta.
If you buy a 96 box of Crayola’s and draw those colors on a sheet of paper,
you will get a very good idea of the background color of the rug. This is all enclosed with a narrow navy blue border
with a cloud pattern encompassed with a
large major border of meandering flower heads and leafs.
The rug is an excellent condition. It
is 99 ½ percent full pile. We ends and sides
are complete. The rug is clean and ready to
go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance
of $125.00. |
