#7113 Ningxia Meditation Carpet This circa 1850 or older, possibly 18th century, Ningxia meditation panel rug measures 2’2” x 7’5”. It consists of four panels each with peonies in the center with yellow clouds in the border on a red ground faded to terra cotta. It has a yellow meandering border with mountain motifs worked in the meander. The piece is complete, ends and sides in varying degrees of pile wear, from essentially full pile to slight wear.
