#7078 Art Deco Chinese Rug

This circa 1900 Peking Chinese rug measures 10’0” x 14’5”. It has a navy blue field with a hanging lamp in the midst of a bunch of flowers which serves as a center medallion. The corners contain massive flowers in shades of ivory and blue coming into the center of the rug. There is a well drawn butterfly in the upper right quadrant and several other butterflies flitting around the very pale camel hair border. The rug presents itself as stunningly elegant. It has cork wool that is like velvet. The rug is essentially in mint condition. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of 200.00.
