#7018 Mahajaran Sarouk This circa 1900 Mahajaran Sarouk measures 10'1 inches X 13'10 inches. It has beautiful lustrous wool and is very finely woven. This is known as the empty design because it is not crowded looking. It has a very small yellow medallion which on a North/South axis extends alternating floral motifs in a bouquet (basket) motif. The four corners are composed of half wreaths of an interesting flowering branch design. The corners are worked in the same half wreath design on a smaller scale. All of this is brought very much to life in a 3-D effect by dint of the very lustrous wool on a cherry ground. The navy blue major border of flower heads and meandering vine motif is enclosed with three reciprocal minor borders. The inner two being ivory, the next two being cherry going to navy all with floral motifs. The rug is 99% full pile. It is clean, wonderful and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping of $150.00.
