#6900 Peking Chinese Rug

This circa 1880 Peking Chinese rug measures 10’3” X 13’3”. If you like ducks, you will love this rug. There are 18 ducks scattered around a blue field depicting a water motif containing lotus blossoms and water lilies. The ivory major border has a floral motif consisting of peonies, chrysanthemums and other flowers in three shades of blue. The minor borders are ivory and dark blue flowers on a dark blue ground. The entire rug consists of various shades of two colors of blue and white, predominately royal blue which is the color of the ground, and sky blue which is the color of the minor borders and most of the field design. The rug is in very good condition. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go.
