#6889 Art Deco Chinese Rug

This circa 1920 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 9’0” by 11’6”.  It is a very serene and lovely rug woven with Manchester wool.  It is a piece of art.  It has a soft clear red field of flowering vines and flowering trees in all four corners coming into the field.  A single bird and butterfly complement the opposite corners.  It has a medium blue minor border and a dark blue wide outer border containing deeply saturated flowers in red, yellow, blue and green.   The rug is signed in the inner border.  This is unusual. This is one of those magical Deco rugs in Manchester wool, with the feel of velvet.  This rug is in mint condition.  The buyer pays the shipping of $150.00.
