This mid-19th century Konya measures 3’7” X
6’8”. It has a golden butter colored ground with eight octagon shaped medallions
in green, red and aubergine divided by
three nicely drawn diamonds, encompassed with a beautiful rust red border. The lappets are complete at each end. They are done in green, red, aubergine, ivory and
blue. There are several areas of re-piling in
the field. The rug is now full pile. It is very meaty and healthy. The ends and sides are complete, perfect, and
original. The buyer pays the shipping.
