#6830 Fereghan Sarouk

This circa 1880 Fereghan Sarouk measures 4 ‘ 3” x 6’ 5 “.  It has a small diamond ivory medallion with flowers on a dark rose field.  It has beautifully worked ivory corners.  The entire field is worked in a wonderful interlocking floral motif.    The way the flowers vines and leaves move and work together is really amazing.  It’s like a floating 3-D maze.  It is a   very pure and lovely example of Persian art and taste.  This is all surrounded by a dark blue border with connected flower head blossoms; each one surrounded by a very intricate mass of small interconnected wreath of flowers.  This rug is full pile.  The sides are original.  There are two rows of the apron missing at either end of the rug.  It does not affect the body of the rug at all.  The rug is clean and ready to go.  The buyer pays the shipping of $40.00.
