#6787 Turkish Melez
This circa 1875 Melez measures 3 ‘11” x 5’ 7”. The prayer design arches are in medium green. The spandrels are in Mediterranean blue. It has a stylized tree of life going up the field surrounded by a wave design. I have no idea how to describe the borders. Describe them to yourself, it will be more fun. The dyes are very nice, of course, all vegetable. The background is mainly a very mellow rust color with a very mottled aubergine. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is 99% full pile. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping of $60.00.
