#6778 Art Deco Chinese Rug
This circa 1920 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 9 ‘ 8” x 13’ 5 “.It has a deep raspberry red field with an all over design of symbols for good luck “shou”. There are hanging baskets in each quadrant containing nicely drawn blossoms in yellow, purple, lavender and blue. There are different forms of flower sprays which cover the field. There is a jade green major border with representations of “shou” , flowers and foliage in red, yellow, blue, and purple surrounded by two yellow reciprocal borderers with cartouches i in green containing butterflies, books (wisdom) and various other Chinese iconographic depictions. The rug has very good pile. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping of $150.00.
