#6700 Art Deco Chinese Rug This circa 1930 Art Deco Chinese rug measures 8’11” X 11’10’. It has a navy blue field which at first glance appears to be empty, but the field is completely covered in scrolling vines, blossoms, endless knots, and even a couple of bats and butterflies, all woven in a lighter shade of blue almost to be invisible. This is a very interesting technique. All is encompassed by an ivory border consisting of stylized geometric birds, flowers, leaf and vines, and flower filled urns on tables, all in very stark contrast to the serenity of the field. The rug is full pile.The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of 100.00.
