#6654 Art Deco Chinese Rug
This circa 1920 Chinese Art Deco Oriental rug measures 6’0” X
8’9”. It has a scarlet field with a yellow and green crested bird sitting in a
flowering tree over a mountain view surrounded by bunches of flowers with birds sitting in
them in yellow, green, purple, and two shades of blue all encompassed with a major border
in navy blue coming into a minor border in emerald green. There are phoenix birds in
flight interspersed with maple leaves and cherry blossoms. The corners are worked in three
circles with butterflies and fish and flowers in yellow, green and silver gray. The rug
show very slight wear with a few white knots in the field. The ends and sides are
complete. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of
50.00.
