#6628 Persian Khoursan Carpet
This circa 1880 Khoursan measures 8’8” X 12’0”. This lovely Khoursan has a pale green field very much like a cubanelle pepper. It has a center medallion. The corners are in medium blue in a very well executed fish motif in fushcia, gold, red and pale sky blue. The major border is red to maroon with meandering vine and flower head motif in pale blue and dark blue. There are six reciprocal borders in pale peach, ivory and pale blue. This rug has good pile and any low spots are photographed. It is 99% full pile and clean and ready to go. This rug is very pale and yet manages to make, because of its design, a bold statement. Sort of the best of both worlds! It is a rare type, especially in this condition. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of 100.00
