#6577 Antique Peking Chinese Rug This circa 1860 antique Peking Chinese Oriental rug measures 4’11” X 7’4”. This fantastic antique Chinese rug has an ivory ground with eight horses. Four are in two colors of blue and four are ‘ghost’ horses. Their manes and tails along with their body markings are in a medium brown, but he image itself is a very slight color change from the ivory ground. One has to look very closely in order to see them. Very ghost like. The field is covered in tufts of grass, water holes and two trees. The top and bottom borders are wave and cloud design. The rug is in excellent condition with only very minor wear.
