#6490 Tehran Rug
This 19th century Tehran rug measures 4’5” X
7’0”. It has a prayer design with a tree of life coming out of a vase at the
base of the prayer field flanked by two yellow vases of flowers. There are twelve
beautifully drawn birds perched on the branches of the tree, all on an ivory ground with a
riot of color and design in deep saffron, maroon, brown, blue, purple and red. The
spandrels are done in maroon with arabesques. The border is flower head and meandering
vine design. The rug is in excellent condition. The ends and sides are complete. It is
clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of 75.00.
