#6486 Moteshem Kashan This circa 1880 Moteshem Kashan (by the father) rug measures 4’6” X 6’5”. It has a fantastic prayer design consisting of a Grecian urn sprouting a tree of life with birds perched on its branches, all on a blue field. The spandrels are ivory with blue, gold and brown meandering vines and flower heads. The blue border has vines and flower heads in peach, ivory and brown. There are six reciprocal borders in rust, ivory and blue. This rug has a KPSI of 550 and is as fine as a silk rug. It is in essentially perfect condition.
