#6454 Atashogolie Kashan This circa 1860 antique Kashan measures 4’3” X 6’9”. It has a central pulled medallion in red with ivory blossoms on a dark blue field which is worked in cypress trees in red and sky blue. There are botehs coming out of the corners which are further worked in red with sky blue motifs. The main border has a floral motif in pale blue, red and gold on a dark blue ground. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is paper thin and is very finely woven. The wool is like velvet. There is slight wear in the field. This is a masterpiece! The buyer pays the shipping and insurance of 75.00.
