#5594 Tabriz

This circa 1930 Tabriz measures 8’7” X 11’5”. It has an overall design of meandering vines and flowers on an ivory ground. The border has interconnected chrysanthemums on an ivory to green ground. This is a quite colorful rug in a very quiet way. It has various shades of green in the foliage, some Wedgwood blue, navy blue, four or five shades of red, three or four shades of brown and some yellow. The ends and sides are intact. It is starting to show wear in the field at the bottom of the rug. It is not a big deal, only to the tops of the knots. No warps or wefts are showing. This is a very nice piece. The buyer pays the s&I of 125.00.
